The “One Answer” By Robert Kiyosaki Has Changed How I Do Business Today

Few years back while I was doing deep soul-searching on my entrepreneurship dream, I went to become a property agent for some time. It was mainly because I was unsure how to start a business back then.

So I grabbed the opportunity to learn new skills such as the selling, marketing and customer service through property selling. It has been a rewarding experience because I was not from marketing or business study in my days of university.

But that’s not the best part yet.

The best part was…

Due to the decision I’ve made that time, I had the opportunity to meet with Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad in real person and had him answered my question.

It was beyond my wildest dream that I would have the near-to-impossible opportunity in my lifetime.

How’s That Happen?

Through one of the properties I was selling back then, I got to know the boss of that developer company.

He was running a contest at that time to give away limited number of free tickets to Robert Kiyosaki’s event. Whoever interested to win the tickets need to comment in his Facebook with the reasons why he/she deserves to get them.

Those with the best reasons would be selected as winners.

So I wrote the best possible reasons I can because I hoped to attend Robert Kiyosaki’s event.

But after seeing so many people were participating and their reasons were so much better than mine, I thought there was no chance for me anymore.

After some time has passed, to my surprise I was announced as one of the winners to Robert Kiyosaki’s event. Yes, I have WON!!!

I was really happy indeed…

The ticket won was not any regular ticket but was a special VVIP ticket. This entitled me to attend private group gathering with Robert Kiyosaki for a Q&A session.

My Encounter With Robert Kiyosaki

Each one of the VVIP ticket holders was given the privilege to ask Robert Kiyosaki one question and had him to answer it.

So I didn’t waste the opportunity and I asked him the burning question I had in my heart all the while.

The question was “How Young People Can Achieve Success But Have Limited Money?”.

Robert Kiyosaki’s answer to my question was “The Key Is To Work Smart”.

After having the answer in my mind, I started to re-analyze the current state I was in and how I should move forward.

Although property selling has a very high commission payout (average 4 figures above) for each unit sold, but it also has some drawbacks.

It’s very time and energy draining, it’s hard to scale and most importantly I don’t own the business.

One greatest thing I learned while selling property was leveraging on Facebook Marketing to find potential house buyers and connect with them.

Compared with other offline marketing channels, Facebook was the only one place that gave me the positive results.

It gave me a lot of appointments and I managed to close a few sales from there.

My Real Entrepreneurship Journey Has Began

Since I’ve saw the power of internet when comes to marketing and with the words of wisdom from Robert Kiyosaki, I started to think out of the box.

I thought to myself, “Hmmm, wouldn’t it be great if I’m able to leverage the internet to build my own business?”.

That has motivated me to dig deeper into the world of internet to understand how feasible it is to build an internet business.

After going through much learning and discovery, I have found very important conclusions.

Internet allows small business to scale in a big way.

Technology and internet are going to be the main drivers of the future economy. Many businesses have already started moving towards cashless, staff-less and online-based trends.

Internet enables one to start a business with very little money down – less risk involved.

Internet allows the business to reach customers from any part of the world.

In other words, internet is the smart way to build business that requires little money but has huge potential.

Seeing the huge potential internet has to offer, I started my own online business without looking back since then.

The entrepreneurship journey has been a rewarding one. It allows me to take control of my own future now.
