Amazon KDP offers eBook and Paperback versions only for authors and publishers to publish books on Kindle Direct Publishing all these while.
But, Amazon KDP has started to provide the extra Hardcover option recently in year 2021.
This is definitely a good news if you are publishing books on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
Why?
Because now you have the chance to provide additional KDP cover version for book buyers and this can help you increase sales.
Not only that, publishing with extra Hardcover version in addition to Ebook and Paperback would also increase the traffic of your books because some buyers might look specifically for Hardcover only.
However, the regular KDP cover template site for Paperback don’t have the option for you to generate the Hardcover template.
Therefore, I decided to show you step by step how you can generate and download KDP Hardcover template for you to design your book cover.

Step By Step To Generate Amazon KDP Hardcover Template
1) You need to use this Amazon link if you want to generate Amazon KDP Hardcover template. After you are inside the website page, choose “Hardcover” for “Binding type”.
2) Then choose either “Black & white” or “Premium color” under “Interior type” depending which one you want to print for your book contents.
3) Next, select either “Cream paper” or “White paper” depending what types of paper you want Amazon to use for printing your Kindle Direct Publishing hardcover book contents.
4) Then select “Left to Right” for “Page-turn direction” since most books pages go from left to right direction.
5) Next, choose “Inches” for “Measurement units” to generate the hardcover template with width and height in inches format so you can enter much easier in design software for designing your Amazon KDP book later.
6) Then choose the correct choice for “Interior trim size” based on the size of your book. So make sure you create your book with the size that has in the list of Hardcover choice only.
7) Enter the number of pages you have for your book in the “Page count” field and then click “Calculate dimensions” button. Do take note that Amazon Hardcover books need to have at least 75 pages.
8) A new page would appear. Click on “Download Template”.
9) Then use the Width and Height given for “Full Cover” to enter in your graphic design software when design the cover of your Hardcover book. All you need just to upload the hardcover template instead of paperback template.
